Newport, RI is one of my favorite places in New England. The cobblestone roads near the harbor & the scenic ocean drives have brought me back there numerous times. When thinking of where I wanted to go for my bachelorette, I tried to picture all of the things I love- music, food, the beach, pretty scenery. I have always wanted to go to the Newport Folk Festival so it was a sealed deal. My best ladies and I went up for a few glorious days of brunching, beaching, music festivaling, lobster roll eating, sunset watching and of course, laughing our faces off. I’m thankful for such amazing friends- oh, and for Frank Turner.

So come on let’s be young, let’s be crass enough to care
Let’s refuse to live and learn, let’s make all our mistakes again yes
And then darling, just for one day, we can fight and we can win
And if only for a little while, we could insist on the impossible
